List of soldiers from Arundel who were captured by the British and carried off to Dartmoor Prison.

The Captain Lord Mansion was built by Nathaniel Lord's shipbuilders to keep them employed during the war of 1812.  The house was so well built that should Kennebunkport fall victim to a flood, the house would be seaworthy.  So the "story" goes.
