LUQUES Orlando a liberal education for Obit LEJ 21 Sep 1909 Kennebunkport ME public school & Kent's Hill (Readfield ME) foor three years. He began as fireman in the service of the Androscoggin railroad when he was 22 years old. After his marriage he lived in Waterville but moved to Auburn Me in 1857. Mr Luques fired for a year and a half for the Androscoggin line. The terminus was then at Danville Jct. He then went to Waterville to take charge of the wheels and running gear of the road at that work-shop. His first engineering was on a gravel train running out of the pit at Leeds. In winters he ran the plow. He ran the train from Danville ME to Lewiston for 11 yrs & Waterville to Poortland for 10 yrs on the passenger train. LUQUES Orlando - Born ?
